KDE Hub Webinar: “Unscripted” – When New Understandings are an Unexpected Outcome

May 18, 2022 @ 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM EDT

Many of us have recently reflected on accomplishments, completed progress reports and planned for the current year. All of this reminds us that mental health promotion can be messy! Even the best articulated participant recruitment strategies, project implementation plans, data collection procedures, and evaluation protocols do not always unfold according to plan. When those unexpected situations arise, what can we do with them?

Together, in this webinar facilitated by the Hub’s new Scientific Co-Directors, Drs. Alice Schmidt Hanbidge and Colleen McMillan, we will explore the wonder and beauty of embracing those unexpected moments and missteps as opportunities to be flexible and adaptable while gaining new insights and knowledge. Come prepared to share a ‘new or unplanned discovery’ that was unexpected in your project but ultimately added a richer dimension to your understanding. By hearing and sharing these ‘wayward’ stories, we can highlight the benefits of flexible and adaptive approaches to project implementation and evaluation in the relatively new field of health promotion. MHP-IF project team members and the KDE Hub Secretariat will be present at this webinar.
