Introduction

Workshop: MHITEY Knowledge Strengthening Workshop

This beginning of grant workshop was a gathering of key partners in the Mental Health in the Early Years (MHITEY) initiative funded through the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and led by CIHR’s Institute for Human Development, Child and Youth Health (IHDCYH). Partners met in person to strengthen relationships and collaboration to support the success of the MHITEY initiative and increase its collective impact. The workshop was co-hosted by CIHR-IHDCYH and the Knowledge Development and Exchange (KDE) Hub and held in conjunction with the Infant and Early Mental Health Promotion (IEMHP) Expanding Horizons National Institute. Its objectives were to:

  • Foster networking across partners in the MHITEY initiative
  • Build capacity and shared aspirations for knowledge mobilization of MHITEY research
  • Increase understanding of the role of the KDE Hub in supporting funded teams and the MHITEY initiative
