Adapting and Scaling Jack.org’s Youth Mental Health Education Programming

The proposed project will scale and adapt the “Jack Talks” and “Be There” programs in order to deliver peer-to-peer mental health education and skill-building to new communities of Indigenous, francophone, racialized, and 2SLGBTQ+ youth aged 15–24 across Canada. The project will also create and promote an accessible digital library of mental health resources and content for educators to use, in conjunction with Jack Talks, to help create lesson plans that are specific to the mental health needs and interests of students. The project aims to reach 50,000 young people and adult allies in every province and territory through the adapted Jack Talks program, and it will connect a further 145,000 young people and adult allies to the Be There program by the end of March 2024.
