Strongest Families Institute’s Parents Empowering Kids – Keeping It Simple (PEK-KIS): An innovative, stepped-care e-approach to prevent behavious challenges and promote positive parenting in early childhood

This project will revise and expand the Strongest Families Institute’s (SFI’s), evidence-based parenting program, Parents Empowering Kids, to include a prevention and promotion focus based on a stepped-care approach. The project will use innovative technology and distance delivery to provide access across Newfoundland and Labrador to low-intensity positive parenting skills and to help parents and caregivers build pre-schoolers’ social and emotional strengths. The program will be offered to parents of three to six year-old children as part of pre-school check-ups and regardless of whether behavioural challenges exist or not.

Lead organization: Strongest Families Institute

Location: Newfoundland and Labrador
