A toolkit specific to child and youth mental health promotion from the Canadian context. It includes definitions, guiding principles, core components and benefits of youth engagement. Steps of engagement include co-activate, co-create, co-evaluate and advocacy/education. The content relates mostly to treatment, rather than mental health promotion yet has adaptable content. Youth were involved in co-developing the tool and the youth voice is found throughout.
