Introduction

Webinar: Monitoring Positive Mental Health in Canada

Accessible and timely population-level data about the mental wellbeing of Canadians can help inform intervention, policy, and research priorities to advance mental health promotion and illness prevention. One source of such information is the Canada’s Positive Mental Health Surveillance Indicator Framework (PMHSIF), which provides data on positive mental health outcomes and their associated risk and protective factors. Led by members from the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), this webinar overviewed the PMHSIF, including the definition of positive mental health underpinning this work, the development process for the PMHSIF, and the tools and products stemming from this framework.
